Study sport where the industry lives. The UCCS Sport Management program combines a strong business foundation with real-world sport experience in Olympic City USA. With access to nearly 60 local sport organizations and small, interactive classes, students gain hands-on experience, complete impactful internships, and build connections that launch careers in sport.



If you want to turn your passion for sport into a career, the UCCS Sport Management program puts you where the industry lives and works. Housed in the AACSB-accredited College of Business, the program combines small class sizes with direct access to PhD-qualified professors and current and former sport executives from college athletics, Olympic sport, and professional sport. Classes are interactive, applied, and built around real-world challenges faced by today’s sport organizations.

Located in Colorado Springs—Olympic City USA—UCCS offers an unmatched learning environment. With 59 national and international sport organizations in the local community, students benefit from everyday exposure to the sport industry through classroom integration with sport leaders, hands-on field studies, internships, guest speakers, and meaningful networking opportunities that go far beyond campus.

The curriculum is intentionally designed around the needs of the sport industry, emphasizing experiential learning that allows students to apply theory to practice while earning academic credit through real work in sport. Professional development and networking events throughout the year further connect students to industry professionals and career pathways.

Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Sport Management and leave UCCS prepared not just to enter the sport industry—but to make an immediate impact within it.

The UCCS MBA in Sport Management provides you with a strong business core focusing on leadership, strategic management, finance and accounting together with the comprehensive insights provided by the following sport management emphasis classes:

The Global Governance and Development of Sport: This class examines governance and sport development to give students the tools to apply good governance principles and implement effective sport development practices.

Sport Marketing and Revenue Generation: This class centers on creating strategies through the use of data to enhance the understanding of consumers and revenue generation in specific sporting contexts.

Innovation Management in Sport Organizations: This class focuses on the innovative management of sport organizations with an emphasis on organizational behavior, strategic planning and human resource management.

Legal and Ethical Challenges in Sport: This class critically engages in a range of contemporary legal and ethical issues that challenge professional, collegiate, interscholastic, Olympic and community sport.
