Steve Ryan (Vice President of Business Development, Arizona Cardinals)

Growing up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, I have always had a passion for the sport industry. The courses and internships I had while in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management helped launch my career as Director of Marketing and Sales for the Philadelphia Eagles. While with the Eagles, I was able maintain the franchise’s financial successes by developing sponsorships and by cultivating strong ties with the Philadelphia community. While it was tough to leave my hometown, the opportunity to take my career to the next level and to apply the skills I acquired at Temple in an executive management position was one I could not pass up. And, here I am today with the Arizona Cardinals. No matter where your career in sport and recreation takes you, Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management and the city of Philadelphia are great places to start.

Emily Gigliotti (Event & Operations Manager, Subaru Park, Spectra Venue Management)

From the hands-on learning to the talented professors, the Master of Science in Sport Business prepared me to kickstart my career within the sport industry. I always felt supported and challenged by my professors and peers, which allowed me to continuously grow. Temple connected me with amazing externship opportunities, speaking engagements and networking events—providing me unforgettable learning experiences. I am forever grateful for the experience, memories and relationships made while attending Temple.

Marisa Brisbane (Athletics Compliance Officer, George Washington University)

I would not be the person or professional I am today without the two pivotal years I spent as a Temple graduate student. In the classroom, I was fortunate to learn from experienced industry professionals about what it truly means to work in athletic administration. Simultaneously, I gained first-hand experience working as a graduate assistant in Temple's Division I athletics department. Not only did these opportunities allow me to discover my passion for Athletics Compliance, but they presented me with a network of passionate professionals who I'm grateful to call mentors and friends.

Kevin Konopelski (Business Operations Manager, Philadelphia Wings)

I gained the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the sports industry through the Master of Science in Sport Business at Temple. Throughout the program, I learned from the best professors and had the opportunity to intern and volunteer with top professional teams in Philadelphia. Without the expertise of the faculty and advisors, I would have been ill prepared to enter the competitive sports industry.

Lauren Capone (Marketing Communications Manager, Playfly Sports)

The Master of Science in Sport Business gave me an invaluable edge when getting started in the sports industry. Being fully immersed in conversations about the business of sport, its trends and nuances helped me focus my communications skills and allowed me to hit the ground running in my career.
