Hands-on experience is the cornerstone of the B.S. in Sport Management degree. When coursework is complete, students are required to complete a 400-hour off-campus internship. Prior to the internship, sport management majors may gain experience by completing up to three on or off-campus apprenticeships.
All sport management faculty hold terminal degrees in the field from accredited institutions and each faculty member has worked in the sport industry. In addition, faculty has been recognized for teaching excellence and has distinguished themselves in scholarship. Beyond the classroom, faculty members work in community service and are active in professional organizations.
