The program has been developed with the Tampa Bay Lightning as a joint educational endeavor. The partnership is not just financial, but philosophical and developmental as well. In addition to the Lightning which is platinum partner, we have gold partners such as USF Athletics, VF Majestic Image wear, Feld Entertainment, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Sports Commission, and several others in development. The second year of the program will function as a Co-op Program, with students attending classes and working for one of the partners simultaneously- this will provide both compensation and a tuition waiver in year two for each student.
Our faculty has significant experience working in academic sport management programs at UCF, UMass, Florida State, Ohio State and Robert Morris, and in leadership positions with NASSM, SMA and the Sport Marketing Quarterly. In addition Dr. Sutton is an active consultant, former VP with the NBA and a national columnist for the Sports Business Journal. Our faculty has more than 40 years of experience placing students throughout the United States and globally as well.
MBA in Sport & Entertainment Management
