MBA in Sports & Entertainment Management
The University of Dallas MBA with a Sports and Entertainment concentration is designed to prepare you for a career as an executive in the sports and entertainment industries. Our courses will give you both a strong foundation in business fundamentals, as well as the knowledge of how to apply these to the ever-changing, multi-billion dollar aspects of sports and entertainment. Our program is unique in several ways: - The University of Dallas College of Business is an official partner of the Dallas Stars. This relationship provides unique access and insight to the operations of these elite organizations. - The S&E curriculum is overseen by an advisory board of executives with years of industry experience. This ensures that material in each course is timely and relevant. - S&E students get hands-on experience working on consulting projects for firms in the industry. Past project clients include the Dallas Mavericks, American Airlines Center, Frisco RoughRiders, Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie and Lone Star Park. - S&E alumni work in the industry for firms such as FC Dallas, Las Colinas Entertainment Center, Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, Allen Americans, Boomer Esiason Foundation, IAAM, Midwestern State University, Tulsa Drillers and the U.S. Bowling Congress to name a few.

Carla Rosenberg is a successful businesswoman in the sports and entertainment industry. As Senior Vice President for Professional Sports & Entertainment at Zelo Public Relations, she handles client acquisitions, branding strategies and media management for professional athletes. Prior to that role, she worked in executive roles for the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars and SCA Promotions. But, before all that, she got her start at the University of Dallas MBA program. What is your fondest memory of the University of Dallas? My concentration was Sports & Entertainment, so the industry immersion trip to New York City where we got to visit Madison Square Garden, the U.S.T.A National Tennis Center & the NFL and NBA executive offices. Those memories and experiences will last a lifetime! How has the University of Dallas shaped the person you are today? I am more prepared to deal with others on group projects and meetings. Also, I am more confident in my ability to handle presentations and spreadsheets. What makes the University of Dallas special? UD offers flexible scheduling of courses for students to maintain a work/life balance. There are also industry immersion programs that provide unique opportunities and exposure for students. Who from the University of Dallas most impacted your life? How? Dr. Scott Wysong – he has always been so supportive and encouraged me to apply for the program. In addition, he was/is always responsive and helpful in finding a solution when I had a question about anything school related. He always and continues to provide opportunities to network with other students that have similar interests and career goals. He does a great job of keeping me plugged in.
